- A traditional, high gloss finish for interior and exterior projects
- Perfect for all aspects of joinery and metal
- Mirror-like high-gloss finish
Crown Liquid Gloss is a tough and durable solvent-based gloss paint for interior and exterior wood, ideal for all types of joinery and window frames. It can also be used on metal projects, such as radiators, pipework and more.
- For a quick drying, non-yellowing gloss, see Crown Quick Dry Gloss
Ensure that surfaces painted are clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and grease.
- Any holes, splits or other surface defects should be filled with a suitable wood filler
- For new/bare projects or if a strong colour change is required, prime with Crown Undercoat
- For painted timber, rub down with P120 sandpaper for a key on the surface to aid adhesion and remove any dust with a slightly damp lint-free cloth- special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
Always try a test area before starting any project to assess the suitability of the finish. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin. Do not apply in damp or humid conditions.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply Liquid Gloss with a high quality, synthetic bristle brush, being careful not to over spread the paint film
- 1 coat is usually sufficient for primed or similar coloured projects, although further coats may be required
Regular Cleaning
For regular cleaning, gently wipe painted surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth. For light scuffs and marks, slightly dampen the cloth first.
Maintenance
To maintain the finish if it becomes worn over time, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Liquid Gloss, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
