Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Acrylic Eggshell is perfect for the walls and ceilings in busy homes or areas that need frequent cleaning. Crown Trade suggests this is 100% more durable than their conventional matt vinyl emulsion and would be a far more suitable option for kitchens, bathrooms and busy hallways.

Preparation
Preparation
For the best results, ensure that surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and grease. Remove any flaking or peeling coatings back to a bare substrate.
- Porous surfaces should be coated with a mist coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Acrylic Eggshell diluted with up to 40% water
- Fill any cracks, holes or other surface imperfections with a suitable filler
- Powdery and chalking, dense, heavily polished or stained surfaces should be primed with Crown Trade PX3 Primer
- Wash down previously painted surfaces prior to application, if after cleaning, any areas are still likely to cause staining, patch primer with one coat of Crown Trade PX4 Primer
Application
Application
Always try a test area before starting any project to assess compatibility of the final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to reach the pigment in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply 2 coats with a high-quality synthetic bristle brush or medium pile roller
- Dilution may be required if airless spray application is desired
- Further coats may be required for a stronger colour change
- Allow 4 hours between coats and 7 days cure time before first cleaning of the finished surface

When it's time for a refresh, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Acrylic Eggshell as required, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
