Dulux Trade High Gloss is a solvent-based trim paint, offering excellent flow, giving surfaces a tough and durable high gloss finish. Perfect for use on interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces.
For longer-lasting colour, we recommend the use of a water-based formulation paint such as Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss.
Ensure that surfaces painted with Dulux Trade High Gloss Paint are clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and grease.
- Apply a knotting solution to any knotty or resinous timber
- Any holes, splits or other surface defects should be filled with a suitable wood filler
- For new/bare timber or if a strong colour change is required, prime with Dulux Trade Undercoat
- For painted timber, rub down with P120 sandpaper for a key on the surface to aid adhesion and remove any dust with a slightly damp lint-free cloth- special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
Always try a test area before starting any project to assess the suitability of the finish. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin.
Please note: this product is not suitable for spray application.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply Dulux Trade Gloss using a good quality synthetic paint brush or microfibre roller
- Allow 16-24 hours to dry
- For improved coverage on rough or textured surfaces, 2 coats will be required for full opacity, some projects may only require 1 coat
When it's time for a refresh, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Trade High Gloss, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
