Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood is a water-based, satinwood paint that provides a subtle yet durable topcoat for both interior wood and metal project. Available in a range of Dulux colours for the perfect accent to Dulux Walls and Ceilings Matt Paint.
Ensure that surface to be painted with Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood Paint is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease or any other surface contaminants.
- For new or bare timber, treat any knots in the wood with a knotting solution
- Any holes, splits or other surface defects should be filled with a suitable wood filler
- For painted timber, rub down with P120 sandpaper for a key on the surface to aid adhesion and remove any dust with a slightly damp lint-free cloth
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
- Using a primer is optional, however if one is required for drastic colour changes or improving the adhesion, prime with Dulux Multi Surface Primer and Undercoat
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply 2 coats of Dulux Satinwood using a good quality synthetic paint brush
- Allow 6 hours to dry between coats
- Allow 16 hours after the final coat before full use is resumed
Painted surfaces can be gently wiped down with a damp lint-free cloth to remove surface scuffs and marks.
When it’s time for a refresh, apply a fresh coat of Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood using the Preparation and Application steps above.
