- Contains a fungicide to inhibit mould in the paint film
- Offers up to 6 years protection
- Step 3 of 3
Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Paint is part 3 of a 3 part paint system for exterior trim and woodwork. Designed to give wood the best possible protection. It's super flexible to accommodate the natural movement of exterior wood which occurs over time. It contains a fungicide to inhibit mould grown on the paint film and help it stay cleaner for longer.
In order to get the full "all weather protection" from Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Paint, all three components of the Weathershield system have to be used together. Use with Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Flexible Undercoat and Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Preservative Primer.
- Prefer a solvent-based system instead? See Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat followed by Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior High Gloss
To ensure the best results, ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and other surface contaminants.
- Previously bare surfaces should have been treated with Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer, prior to undercoating
- All surfaces to be treated should be undercoated with Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Flexible Undercoat, following all relevant instructions from this product
- When painting resinous wood or woodwork with a history of blistering it is advisable to use light colours only, particularly on south facing elevations
Always do a test area before starting any project to test for compatibility and adhesion. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- Stir the tin thoroughly before and periodically during use, making sure to include pigment gathered in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Paint using a synthetic bristle brush or microfibre roller
- 2 coats of Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Paint will be required for most projects, although with some projects with a stronger colour change, further coats may be required
- When painting areas such as plastic rainwater goods, apply 1 coat of paint, thinned to 1 part water to 10 parts paint, direct to the surface
Please note: when using darker colours, the finish may look lighter when applied and still wet. The full finish and colour will be visible once dry
Once it's time for a refresh, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Paint following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
