Earthborn Multi-Purpose Primer is a multi-surface primer for interior wooden projects to be finished with Earthborn paint. It's water-based and quick drying. Aids adhesion and opacity for bare wood and reduces the amount of topcoat used when drastic colour changes are required.
It's great for furniture, kitchen cupboards, trim as well as melamine and MDF. Touch dry in just 30 minutes. It's made of carefully selected, premium ingredients and is designed to be less harmful to the user and the environment than alternative products.

Please note: this product is not suitable for kitchen worktops or flooring.
For the best results, ensure surfaces to be primed are clean, dry and free of dirt, grease or wax before treatment.
- Remove any fungal growth or mould and treat with a suitable fungicidal cleaner
- Previously painted wood surfaces should be lightly sanded before application, making sure to remove all traces of sanding dust
- Melamine and clean, bare wood can be directly primed
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish with the topcoat applied. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin.
- Stir the thoroughly before and periodically during use, making sure to reach pigment in the top and bottom creases of the tin
- Apply liberally with a high-quality synthetic bristle brush or foam roller
- If a second coat is required, allow 4 hours between coats
- Allow 2-3 days for full cure of Earthborn Multi-Purpose Primer before the application of a viable topcoat
Once fully cured, surfaces treated with Earthborn Multi Purpose Primer can be overcoated with Earthborn Claypaint, Earthborn Eco Chic, Earthborn Eggshell No. 17 Paint, or any other suitable product.
