For the best results from Rustoleum Radiator Enamel, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.
- Mask off and protect any areas that doesn't require painting
- Remove any loose rust and abrade the surface for best adhesion
Application
Application
Always do a test area of Rust-Oleum Radiator Enamel before starting any project to assess product suitability. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Shake the can until it starts rattling, then continue for a further minute
- Hold the can around 20cm away from the surface and spray in a long, sweeping motion
- Hold the can upside down and spray out any residual paint in the nozzle for 2-3 seconds and wipe clean with a damp cloth
- Apply 2-3 coats, allowing 10 mins between coats
- Allow to dry for 24 hours before using the radiator again
