Overview

A high opacity, low odour paint, Little Greene Absolute Matt Emulsion provides a deep, wipeable finish ideal for walls and ceilings in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and other low-traffic areas. Crafted with premium pigments, it delivers exceptional coverage and rich, lasting colour in every shade.

Preparation

For best results, make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, or other surface contaminants before painting.

Remove any loose, flaking, or defective paint with a scraper, sander, or suitable paint remover
Take extra care when preparing pre-1960s paint surfaces, as they may contain harmful lead
Wash down surfaces if required to eliminate dirt, grease, or chalky residues
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry completely
Fill any cracks, holes, or imperfections with a suitable filler and sand smooth
Lightly sand prepared areas and wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove all traces of dust
Apply a suitable plaster sealer to any surfaces that remain powdery after preparation

Application

Always test a small area before starting any project to check product suitability, colour, and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Use only in well-ventilated areas.

For best colour consistency, purchase enough paint for the whole project, including extra for future touch-ups.

Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use to maintain consistency
Apply 2 full coats of Little Greene Absolute Matt Emulsion using a good quality synthetic brush, roller, or spray system
Allow 1 to 4 hours drying time between coats depending on temperature and ventilation
On new plaster, thin the first coat with 5 - 25% clean water before applying subsequent full coats
For significant colour changes, additional coats may be required

Aftercare

To keep your painted surfaces looking their best, follow these simple aftercare steps:

Allow the paint to fully cure for several days before subjecting it to heavy use or cleaning
For light marks or surface dirt, gently wipe with a soft cloth or sponge using a dilute solution of mild washing-up liquid
Avoid using harsh abrasives or scrubbing pads, as these can damage the matt finish
When cleaning adjacent areas, such as skirting boards, use a soft vacuum attachment to avoid marking painted walls
For touch-ups or repairs, lightly sand the area, spot-prime if required, and reapply paint from "break to break" to achieve a seamless finish
